This is what the man says:

Io, (name of the groom (guy)), prendo te, (Name of the bride (lady)),
come mia sposa e prometto di esserti fedele sempre,

Now the girl replies with the following:

Io, (girls name), prendo te, (guys name),
come mio sposo e prometto di esserti fedele sempre,

The translation from Italian of the two above wedding vow in Italian are as follows:

The Italian groom says:

I, (man’s name), take you, (girl’s name),
to be my wife and I promise to always be loyal,
in happiness and in suffering, in sickness and health,
and I promise to love and honor you all the days of my life.

The Italian bride says:
I, (girl’s name), take you, (guy’s name),
to be my husband and I promise to always be faithful,

What is a wedding vow?  It is words.  What are words?  If someone promises at the alter in front of God and all people and the priest then they should stay together.

Maybe people are for ceremony and flash and nice words.  However, what is important is if people can live the words.

What good are words if people do not live by their words.  In the old days, people would say you’re only as good as your word. words mean something.  A wedding vows is just that, it is a promise their words which are expressions of who you are.  If you want to live a Hollywood lifestyle, and then you should not get married.  And if you want to leave a home will symbolize of honor and devotion to your be loving, then marriages for you.
