Other technology and language learning
What else is there in the area of technology and language learning? Besides  MP3 language learning and software language learning, there are many things being tried but nothing that matches the effectiveness of the MP3 and software learning.
The following list should supplement your learning. I have tried all of the following but to no avail in making any real progress as they are not systematic enough.
Here is a list of other technology ranked in terms of effectiveness:
Radio – Although not systematic it’s my personal favorite. A real radio, not even radio via the internet. But a  good old fashion radio/ You can listen to foreign language programs as you nap or clean the house or relax.
Internet chat – Chatting with people in your foreign language, this is great practice, but you need a good base in the language.
TV-Not bad but exceptionally boring as its passive, but it’s like an immersion experience.
Internet static page reading  – This means reading news websites or generally surfing the internet
Internet videos – I have tried but never effective for me.  I think because it’s so passive. Language learning cannot be passive. Too many distractions, or poorly produced. Many reasons it just does not work.
