Sardines are one of my favorite meals. And this is because I think I eat not just for taste, but for functional nutritional value. If something like these little fishes are good for your body, my taste buds acclimate and start enjoying the meal more.
For example when I eat garlic, I am not really just eating for the taste and thinking about all the detoxifying in purifying components there are two garlic. And so it is with sardines, sardines are what are the healthiest meals you can because of the nucleic acids RNA and DNA that can help your body rebuild its tissue. Except for brewer’s yeast I believe sardines has the highest concentration of the building block . They also contain calcium and protein and fish oils of course. Since they are small fish from northern waters they are the healthiest in terms of pollutants, as cold water is better than warm water and little fish can accumulate less pcps etc. The big fish like tuna are not good.
- The RNA and DNA in sardines are good for your skin. Madonna started to eat fish again specifically for the health benefits it has no her skin.
- Choose good quality for taste, like King Oscar or New Brunswick, not those cheaper fat Spanish ones.
Therefore making sardines sandwiches or not only good for you they’re tasty.
How to make sardine sandwiches 20 ideas my wife uses
Do not use these in one sandwich but here are some things she does. After point two mix ad match.
- I like simple sardines from the can.
- Toast – I prefer sourdough or farmers bread
- I would just put sardines to a bowl and add like one pickle because it taste better when it has this.
- I would add one or two spoonfuls of mayonnaise, the more you add it is not as dry it has more moisture.
- 1/2 an onion in to small squares or slices, I prefer red opinions.
- Just mix it all and put it on bread.
- Now the pickles can be replaced with pineapple or any of the following points
- It is always good to have something spicy something like chillies.
- Good to have something juicy like pickles
- Raisins and walnuts that would be good too, for the brain as walnuts are brain food and raisins have the potassium to counter the sodium.
- For the pickled version you can also add raw beets
- You can put them in taco shells also.
- You can make pasta from it.
- Spread for a sandwich, I would do it with a fork, crush it really well and could add egg and mayo and pepper and spread it on your bread, it would be high protein.
- You can also add Olives, I would cut them into slices, green and black with the tomato in the center.
- Celery is good. Olive, Celery and sun-dried tomatoes and mayo.
- You can make a sushi version, just wrap it in seaweed with cucumbers and add soy sauce as it will cancel the taste anyway
- I eat them out of the can.
- Rosemary and olive oil and some basil.
- Curry version as long as it is light on the curry, just a bit added to the mayo.
Basically you can lose weight and get smarter eating sardines. I ate canned fish as my only source of protein for about two years (except holidays) and I was skinny as anything. I just ate sardines and tuna and herbs with a lot of vegetables. My wife would never allow this now, those were in my bachelor days.
