In my opinion a secret to good meat is eater to season it well ( a reasonable amount) or to season it only with salt and black pepper. When you add herbs do it like you mean so the taste is clear. This recipe is for well seasoned meat.
Ingredients:
round of beef
salt
black pepper
1,5 cup of water
cloves
2 garlic cloves
4 carrots
2 onions
nutmeg
basil
rosemary
1/2 pound of mushrooms
1 glass of claret
1. Season a round of beef with salt and black pepper.
2. Add cloves and nutmeg.
3. Put in a saucepan.
4. Peel and slice onions, carrots and garlic.
5. Add washed, dried and cut herbs.
6. Cover with 1 cup of hot water and let cook slowly.
7. In a meantime chop mushrooms and add them to meat.
8. Pour in wine and let the meat cook until tender.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes and lettuce.
