		<description>My mom made her own pickles, and used stalks of Dill with the seeds, plus a horseradish root, garlic and an oak leaf.  She said the oak leaf helped them stay firmer.</description>

		<description>In Poland, they often use salt with garlic.  It achieves the same effect but does not that that vinegary taste. It will eventually pickle, you do not need a ton of salt just enough.</description>
