You like barley soup? You like mushroom soup? There is a way to combine them into one delicious soup. Of course you can just pour some mushroom and some barley soup into one bowl – sounds weird? Yep, it is just better to follow my recipe…
Ingredients:
1 quart of bouillon
2/3 cup of barley
1 ounce of dried mushrooms
1 onion 1 big carrot
1 parsnip
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon of dill (dry or fresh)
4 slices of bacon
Cut bacon into small pieces, fry for about 3 minutes. Wash and boil barley (about 8 minutes).Wash, peel and chop vegetables and mushrooms. Add everything to bouillon and boil for about 40 minutes, till vegetables are tender.
Poland is the land of mushrooms. Try different or any type of mushrooms you want for this Polish mushroom and barley soup.
