How music helps you learn a language

Theory: Music will bring your language learning on par with learning a language as a child.

Reasons:

  • Music is rhythmic.  Language is rhythmic.  For your brain this is very important.  In a simply way your brain learns a language by listening to the rhythm of the language.  Without getting complex properly coordinated music opens pathways to make your brain receptive to language. Although the pathways that were open from 0 to 8 years of age are closed now to an adult, it does not matter. Music opens up an analogous set of pathways to accelerate learning.
  • Music is pleasure. Music stimulates pleasure centers in the brain and in fact if music is moving enough you can feel it in your heart or almost move your to tears. Music can put you in a romantic mood, feed you energy to go clubbing or allow you to transcend to a spiritual experience. Music is pleasure in connects directly with limbic and pleasure centers in your brain. It you connect language with music its feeding your brain sensual pleasure and the music will go in with pleasure.
