I have always said Ukraine is the land of fairy-tales. The land of love. If you want to fall in love, it is not hard to do in Ukraine. Many of my friend have said I love you in Ukrainian.
My view on Ukrainian love
I am an American, who has Ukrainian roots and who lives in Eastern Europe. My family came from Western Ukraine in the Ternopil area. This is a beautiful region.
I think people at least in Western Ukraine, I can not speak fully about Kiev, but I image it is the same, believe you should have only one love in your life. One love and one marriage and not excuses like modern Western thinking has about leaving marriage and love.
Love is both a romantic and a spiritual thing. If someone says I love you in Ukrainian than they really mean it. It is not just a thing people say because they have been dating for a given period of time and think they should. Further once you have said I love you in Ukraine than it bears a certain responsitbity of loyalty and devotion.
I do not feel this is the case in the west. I would be very curious if anyone else feels with way about the words I love you in the Ukrainian language or in English.

no that is not correct i am a full ukrainian and the way you wrote it is in RUSSIAN in ukraineian its Я тебе кохаю not я тебе люблю
russian-я тебе люблю
ukraine- Я тебе кохаю
to Diana:
in Ukrainian both phrases are correct: “Я тебе люблю” and “Я тебе кохаю”
in Russian: “Я тебЯ люблю”. You need to pronounce it differently and shift the stresses.
