  • I’d like to learn Russian. I’m a firm believer of hypnosis and for the first time, I would like to trie out this kind of system.

  • Wanting to learn Arabic from my youth

I am desperate to re-learn how to read arabic. I was able to many years ago when I was younger. I have forgotten how to now as I never recited arabic readings etc. I would also like to learn how to speak Arabic and understand it. Can hypnosis help me to grasp this a little easily than normal classes? I suffer from A.D.D so my attention span has always played a part in me not being able to concentrate. Can you help at all?

    • I recommend to start with words. Learn Arabic words with flashcards. Your brain I am sure has a strong openness for this language and it is somewhere in your connections. You just have to learn it again. It does not matter you have ADD. Everyone does has this, try taking fish oils or studying to music, this helps, but know you are not alone. Learning a language is mostly about struggling through it. If you can connect with the culture by watching TV or traveling there even better. So I would recommend start learning one word at a time with flashcards and then you can build from there as these are the building blocks of any language. Small bits of information before you can stream sentences.

  • I spoke Turkish from 9 months to 11 years as it was my first language. Coming to the states w/ English speaking only due to divorce I forgot most of it. I am going back I’n June and wondered if going to our neighborhood hypnotist could bring it back.

    • Not like magic, it is better to just practice. Hypnosis is very good for sefl confidence and motivation but to reconnect neurons you need practice, it is all in your brain, just needs to rebuild the highways or at least clear them of snow.

  • Can't learn a language

From an early age I can’t seem to learn any language. I tried in High School and pulled out 2 months later. 2 years ago I started learning German, I will learn key words, but I string a sentance together, can’t interpret what others say to me, and can’t plain old remember the stuff in the lesson.

I tired Italian just 2 weeks ago, and their way of teaching, Like Rosetta stone, talking to us and hoping we pick it up as you go did not work for me. I need to learn French as will be moving to a french speaking country in 2 years and can not seem to get motivated, learn the words, string anything together, and am willing to try hynotherapy now, even though I am not a storng believe in it. I don’t believe someone else can take control of your mind, but I’m getting to the point I will try anything. Any advice?

    • You can learn a languages. Just put your expectations about learning a language in perspective. In Europe, I see people study ten hours a week, many more for years and start to make slow progress. Americans tend to give up fast and expect fast results.

However, I would say this. All the programs out there and tricks and ways to learn a langugae fail because they give too much grammar or unneeded stuff at the start. No matter what langugae you study language follows basic rules that are similar in most languages. That is you need a pronoun and a Verb in a sentence or at least a verb.

What you need to do is learn about 2,000 words maybe 5,000 words with flashcards and no grammar. Then start speaking the language. You can do this by using mneumonic meneory association tricks. Use flashcards. Use MP3 to learn a language. Forget Rosetta, it is fancy but you need to down load only words, useful words in your brain by hearing them over and over on a MP# with a repeat cycle even while you nap and sleep. Let me know if you get this and have questions.
