Ukrainian girls? This is a subject I know quite a lotabout. I have just returned from Kiev last week. I met a beautiful Ukrainian woman. I fell in love not lust but love. I still love the girl but…. there is always abut. I am an extremely honest person and also not such a trusting one. The bad bad news is I am also avery giving person. I will give the shirt off my back to help someone. This is bad in Ukraine as the more yougivete weaker you are percieved. Anyway, this girl also said she loved me ad we had planned on getting married. I was to return in September with ring and to meet her parents. Because her and I agreed that we were to be marred I felt an obligtion to her as many women there do not earn much money. Well ofcourse I agreed to send her $700 per month to sustain he. That is a lot of money for Ukraine by the way. After I sent the money I could not reach her. I had just received 3 pieces of very bad news and I needed her very much. She would not answer her phone, would not reply to SMS or on Skype. This went on all day. Days go by and still nothing. Finaly after a week goes by she informs me that I am mentally unstable and not serious about marriage. I was a little mystified by this whole ting and soon I realized I was scammed by a very good actress. The theme to this story is buyer beware. There are many Ukrainin girls that have no heart and are only out for money. Be very careful in Ukraine. The dating sits are full of girl of which 90% are tere being paid by te marriage agency to write or to chat with men. That does not mean they are not serious it just means to be careful. Yes if you do find a good Ukrainian woma or Russian woman that you fall in love ith that would be great, life will not be much better.

I do sympathise with Michael and had the same experience with a Russian girl that turned out to be a scammer. It was a few years ago, but I think there are so many genuine girls out there that are caring and would like someone to raise a family with. It’s just finding them I guess.
I do use a dating site and doubt has just been put in my mind that the girls get paid to be on there.
Its worrying I must say and in my eyes diab_lical.
I am a very honest man and like Micheal I would always help someone and go out of my way to do the right thing,doesn’t seem to pay off. Anyway, i am going to travel to the Ukraine and make a holiday of it with a view to meeting someone special if it happens, suppose you never know?

Admin and Olga, I think you both make great comments here. Olga is right not to meet the many gold diggers on dating sites for foreign women. Its weird, but I go to Italian dating site, Black Dating Site, Jewish Dating site, even Indian dating site, I see endless ads for Ukrainian women. What on earth are they doing there? Seems like fishing to me.

I’d be interested to learn more about these geeky girls. Although I am more into homely , traditional type of girls who are centered around religion or spirituality.

I will say I find Ukrainian women to best the most attractive in Europe. More attractive than Swedes, because many have beautiful blonde features without the arrogant, selfish, dominating and sterile Nordic feminist attitude to go along with it. Something about a woman’s personality in conjunction with her beauty which makes her irresistible in many ways.

I was saying Orthodox churches may be a bit too traditional and hard to integrate with for American guys. I think American guys would have much easier time mixing with Ukrainians/Russians in a church like the Russian Pentecostal, then a traditional Orthodox church.

Hi Mark, great work as usual. I would like to know if it’s safe for a foreign to drive his own foreign vehicle while in Ukraine, visiting big, small cities and site seeing the touristic attractions. Also, I am a type of a person who prefers not to meet my date form nightclubs or some sort, would you have any suggestions of other alternatives, I am thinking of universities, maybe is one safer alternative to have a higher percentage meeting a sincere person.

There is a flight that goes from Edinburgh arriving at about 2.30pm so i think i go for that and spend the afternoon exploring Krakow then catch the overnight train or bus to Lviv or Ternopil, If in the future we were to decide to get married would i have to get married in Ukraine?, do you know if its possible for a Ukrainian girl to visit me in UK or would we have to get a fiancee visa?, do you know wht the chances of success of the application is?, I have a good job and would be able to support her.

Thanks for your mail, i am planning to travel to Ternopil on 6th May, Tanya is very positive about meeting me and said she will go to the Train station today and i will be speaking to her later, i have also seen i can fly to Lvov from Edinburgh, it takes about 20 hours as its not direct but i think this could be a good option then maybe i can meet Tanya there or get a train to Ternopil from there.

If not and i do fly to Krakow from the bus if you could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated, once i have done the trip it will be easy 2nd time

Sometimes confused with the soap in divorce, they are really very similar, because in the beginning, too, comes a vague letter, just in case all the more serious by an adult. Is so called because the letters were particularly prevalent in Nigeria, even before the spread of the Internet, they were distributed by mail since the mid 1980′s. Nigeria has the unfortunate reputation as one of the most corrupt in the world. By income from foreign currency transactions in the current fraud in Nigeria ranks fourth. With the advent of the Internet “Nigerian letter” has become synonymous with the concept. Typically, the recipient of the letter ask for help in the multimillion-dollar operations, promising a respectable percentage of the amounts. If the recipient agrees, it has all the lure large sums of money for fees, bribes, etc. In the worst case the victim is invited to attend semi-legally in Nigeria, where he was either arrested for illegal arrivals to the country and he extorted money for the release or abducted with for ransom. Letters sent on behalf of the former king, a president, a senior official or a millionaire to ask for help in banking transactions involving the transfer of money from Nigeria or other countries abroad, inheritance, etc., supposedly heavily taxes or obstructed by reason of persecution in their native country. Nigerian letters were sent, in particular, and on behalf of the secretaries, treasurers, and even the wives of Russian millionaires. Another popular option – a letter purportedly from a bank employee or officer to learn of the recent death of a very rich man “with the same name,” as the recipient of a letter, inviting them to assist in getting money from the bank account of this man. It usually comes in the letters of the amounts in millions of dollars, and the recipient is promised a considerable percentage of the amounts – sometimes up to 40%.
Fraud professionally organized: the scammers have offices, working fax, fraudsters often associated with government agencies, and recipient of the letter an attempt to hold an independent investigation does not reveal the contradictions in the legend. The deal served as a “harmless” white-collar crime, which prevents the victim to the authorities. Of course, the promised money the victim in any case does not get: they simply do not exist. Mass mailing causes that are more and more new victims, who give large sums of money to fraudsters. EURO 2012 England and Ukraine

Hi Mark,

I know about Euro 2012 in Poland/Ukraine and have seen the new stadium they are building in Kiev while visiting my ex Ukrainian girlfriend who i came to realise was a soviet girl.

If my relationship with Tanya goes well I will try to see some of the games in Ukraine and Poland next year as I am a football/soccer fan so that would appeal to me, I just hope England don’t play against Ukraine.

If all goes well on this trip I will be visiting Ukraine regularly so maybe on another visit I can fly to Krakow and take the bus to Ukraine and maybe catch up with you if you haven’t moved back to the USA.

I will take my camera and take many photos as it looks beautiful in Western Ukraine from photos I’ve seen on internet, i originally come from a small town in north england where there is high unemployment and have been in the royal navy and been to some very remote places where I’ve had to rough it before so I’m sure the standards of comfort will be more than adequate for me.

Some of my friends cannot understand why I don’t want to go to Ibiza with them instead of going to Ukraine alone, but they haven’t travelled to anywhere other than holiday resorts like Spain, Greece, Italy, Egypt so haven’t experienced somewhere like Ukraine, I don’t enjoy those types of holidays like Ibiza, I would much rather discover and interesting place with different culture and if I find my other half on this journey then i will of course be very happy.

Tanya in Western Ukraine

Hi Mark,

I really enjoyed my trip to Western Ukraine and meeting Tanya, we have both agreed we like each other and we plan to see each other again soon, for a Ukrainian girl she is quite well-travelled as she has visited, Poland, Germany, France and Luxembourg, she has been invited by her friend Mariana to visit her in England so hopefully she will get a visa to visit the UK and I can drive down to see her here too.
