Why Russian girls have wide hips
I have not been able to figure this one out, however wide hips are usually associated with southern European cultures, where the gravity is stronger do to the proximity to the equator. However, tall skinny Russian girls often have wide hips. These are girls with low body fat, however, their bone structure is that that the hips are wide and thus a very good hip to waist ratio.

You want wide hip and thin, not wide hip and fleshy, but to each their own.
The problem with Luther’s link is those women resemble a horde of American girls with snobbish looks on their faces and a desire to raid your bank account until it is sucked dry on top of bringing other kinds of chaos into your life. To me this is the ideal body type. I think model Candace Swanepoel is gorgeous and she has slightly wide hips but is lean. No thunder thighs here.

I grew up thinking I was unattractive because I developed early but my proportions are 37″30″42″ and now I get approached all the time. I guess it has to do with body confidence because I feel more sure of myself now than I did when I was a child. (to me) that’s more important than a measurement.

From a male perspective wide hips are attractive almost universally. It is instinct. It is connected to mating and reproduction and men have a hard time not being attracted to a lady who has wide hips. If your waist to hip ratio makes you look curvy, no matter what people tell you or you might think, you have a classic beauty which artists from the ancient Greeks to Michelangelo idealized. How much more perfect do you want to be? It is good to ask the question, but I would at this juncture focus on other aspects of my life since you have a beautiful shape. Maybe develop musical or linguistic talent, this will give you even more allure.
