  • I am not sure if anyone can answer this. But I have frequently remember dreams, where there are individuals speaking in a foreign language. I have dreamt in french, spanish and dreamed of individuals speaking in croatian. Does this mean something or is it just jibberish. In all cases, each of the languages I have at some point in my time been exposed to them.

  • Very interesting. In my experience with language learning and teaching it is a battle of stream of conciousness. If you can not shift to your target language it will be an up hill battle.

Further, I think most people remember things very well, rather memory is a recall problem. But deep down the memory is ussually there. I even remember many details from when I was 2 years old and I am 44 now. The key is to allow your brain to make the shift to your target language. When you are sleeping your brain is resting or off guard, so all kinds of things come to the surface, including languages that you might have a reasonable knowledge of.
