  • For me it helps to exercise a bit. Go cycling or whatever, as long as blood flows to my head I can study.

    I use meditating to fall asleep, though, and it works very well!

  • @Isle You have the right formula. I swim and it not only keeps my blood flowing but it makes it so I am less restless when I study. And for that is huge as I get board very easy. Meditation is similar to sleep. It helps the brain process and filter information based on importance, its really does relax you and many times I fall asleep also. See I am writing a few language learning programs and I am experimenting that is the most effective way to learn and memorize. I have looked at studies etc, but I am trying to base it a lot on my experience on what is effective and what is hype. For me I am coming to the conclusion better than any hyped super learning technique, deep relaxation after you study helps assimilate information. I am working on some things that will help this.
