Improving the healing process by using your brain
From Aristotle and Hippocrates to yoga and meditation practicers, people have claimed the brain can help the healing process. At this juncture it is almost common knowledge, but the Mayo clinic in a study published in January, confirms what many knew all along.
Guided vivid imagery or a form of directed meditation sends messages to the emotional center of the brain. At that point, the messages are directed along to the body’s endocrine, immune and autonomic nervous systems. These systems are interrelated and influence a wide range of bodily functions, including heart and breathing rates and blood pressure.
I go a step further and believe that if used correctly it can help language learning. But to apply it to language learning you will have to use your imagination.
