Language learning is for the birds

Do you think learning a language is impossible? Do you think learning even one word is hard in a foreign language? Then first consider what birds, like chickens, parrots and crows can do.

Chickens can learn words

Well consider this; my farmer friends in Poland say that their chickens can even understand basic command words.  Yes, chickens can understand words. The can understand if you speak commands to them. They have almost no brain and yet can understand human words.  They just can not speak it.

Parrots can speak words

Now take parrots, parrots of course can imitate human words. Even words that we consider complex languages like Chinese or Polish parrots can imitates words and sentences.

Crows have their own language

Further, did you know crows have a language?  When I was growing up in a woodsy area in New England when I was a kid I even knew their signals.

Language motivation

So stop making excuses, you can learn a language. Language learning is more a matter of patience and daily persistence and having pleasure in learning.  Learning a language is not like calculus which is abstract thinking. The human brain is built to learn languages, and just not one. Language is deeply connected with being human and so the human brain is made for It., unlike other mental disciplines.   So do not give up if I chicken, parrot and a crow can speak a language then so can you, as you are infinitely more intelligent.
