Sing to your children. This is much better than having them listening to a song. Babies and Children need concrete people to learn a language.

Name objects as you point and look at the object. Again to help your baby learn a language focus on the concrete. That is why children like dinasours, they are large and concrete.

Grouping to learn
Your brain and your baby’s brain functions in an organized way. Put objects in groups by shape, color meaning. Then make your child groups them or make their own groups. There are a million things you can do with grouping.

Babies respond to the rhythm of a language to learn
Nursery rhymes help develop the rhythm of a language, like songs.

Show to teach a baby a langugae
Demonstrative body language is important. Show no, with your fingers and facial expression. Reading facial expressions are almost instinctive in humans. Show Happy in the same way. Use your face to show a lot. Or show up and down with reaching for the sky etc.

Let children play blocks. Blocks and building blocks increases special relationship development and somehow results in accelerated language learning for children.

Classical music during your downtime as this develops sensitivity to subtle sounds.

Watch educational shows with them, and explain to them the things they see. Sitting them in front of the TV does little compared to concrete interaction with them while watching.

Look at magazines and books and pictures and talk to them about it.

Teach them a language outside. Outside memories are stored easier then inside memories for some reason. Think about it most of the memories when you were a kid might be when you were outside. Feed the ducks for example, or collect leaves, much better than making them watch baby Einstein videos.

At 1 years old hire a foreign language tutor and learn the language with your child. Why not Chinese.

Converse to teach your child to learn a language
Engage in normal conversations between you and your child.

Let them listen to correct their language
Correct them but not all the time. They will learn more by listening.

Talk. Talk all the time. Talk about your day and about your life, just talk. They need to hear.
